    Wayne State University is a public research university in Detroit, Michigan. It is Michigan's third-largest university. Founded in 1868, Wayne State consists of 13 schools and colleges offering approximately 350 programs to nearly 24,000 graduate and undergraduate students.

  • At Bat

    At Bat’s mission is to increase the number of at-risk youth that participate in the sport of baseball and softball. At Bat is partnering with GOAL Line to provide youths with an organized sport. Youth participants learn the fundamentals of baseball (how to properly throw, catch, hit and play different fielding positions), participate in communication and team working skills, and engage in healthy competition to help cultivate their sportsmanship. The organization hopes to teach students how to play a game against each other at GOAL Line!

  • Urban Divide Technology

    UDT’s goals are to provide in-school, after-school, and summer school programming for underserved communities for educational technology use and computer science inclusive of computer programming for robotics, websites and apps development. Some activities UDT is partnering with GOAL Line to do are keyboarding skills, safe handling of technology, and online safety and etiquette.

  • Detroit City Lions

    The mission of the Detroit City Lions Youth Club (DCL) is to provide at-risk youths (ages 5 - 24) access to much needed sports programs and academic services. Their efforts will help to cohesively develop healthy bodies and healthy minds of area youth, readying them to become physically and academically competitive in today's world. Detroit City Lions Youth Club is partnering with GOAL Line by providing sustainable after school programming, with robotics, dance, and chess programming. By providing interactive, fun, active, educational, and sustainable programming to the students, they hope it will empower them to try new things, build new friendships, develop & build their leadership skills, and ultimately continue to push them to achieve greatness and success!

  • Boxing, Books & Nutrition

    Boxing, Books & Nutrition’s mission is to use movement infused learning to build confidence in young people; equipping them with the thinking and physical skills necessary to excel academically while battling childhood adverse experiences. They ultimately hope that students learn how to use movement as the conduit to adapt a mindset that will allow them to live accountable in an unaccountable world. More granularly, students will walk away understanding how to properly defend themselves, how to use nutrition for optimal health and performance both mentally and physically and develop deeper critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • After School Cafe

    After School Cafe is partnering with GOAL Line to help students understand world cultures, customs and flavors. Students are learning life skills like eating healthy, budgeting money, and cleaning. Some typical lessons are nutritional education, cooking, and cleaning up.

  • Color in Gaming

    Color In Gaming's mission is to develop a pipeline of world-class talent in the video gaming industry by providing gaming-related access, resources, and education to minorities and women. Color In Gaming is teaching digital content development to GOAL Line students and consulting with GOAL Line on the build-out of an eSports gaming lounge. By the completion of the school year, Color In Gaming student groups will have created and published their own social media channels!

  • CLASS ACT DETROIT

    CLASS ACT DETROIT equips BIPOC scholars with the resources needed to revolutionize their lives and community via the arts, entrepreneurship, technology, and leadership. They aim to produce programs that combat 'classroom colonialism' and aid, not hinder, scholars in our nation's urban core. CLASS ACT DETROIT works to dismantle discrimination and inequalities in education and health and increase economic opportunity using hip-hop music and culture. Their partnership with GOAL Line allows them to accomplish their goals!

  • Our Hour Mobile Paint

    Our Hour is a family owned company whose values are centered around making sure the youth receive a quality art experience. Their mission is to teach the students and make art relatable by using everyday numbers, shapes and letters. Our Hour is providing art programming through GOAL Line that will introduce art awareness through mindful exercises. This will help the students begin their creative process and production. They hope to have the students be able to recognize images in their everyday space and take them apart mentally and build them by drawing using the methods taught!

  • Lil Trap Yogis

    Lil Trap Yogis is a kid-focused yoga non-profit organization focused on raising youth and parents' awareness of the power of the mind and body and how healthy habits and eating make way for a positive lifestyle. They are an extension of The Trap Yoga & Massage Studio, whose vision is health, wellness, positivity, and happiness. The techniques and solutions provided allow students to apply them to their daily lives and raise awareness that one’s thoughts may contribute to the downside of life. By partnering with GOAL Line, the organization is helping students become the best versions of themselves, starting with their thoughts and ending with what they are feeding their bodies!

  • Urby Education

    Urby Education has a mission to help kids become confident readers and writers through their phonics based programming. This year, they are partnering with GOAL Line by supporting children in grades 3 - 5 with literacy enrichment. With a goal to inspire children to develop a love for reading and writing, GOAL Line is excited to see what amazing work this organization will do!

    826michigan inspires school-aged students to write with skill and confidence in collaboration with adult volunteers in their communities.

  • Spanish S.W.A.G.

    Spanish S.W.A.G., associated with Jessie Feliz, LLC, provides culturally-responsive, educational programming for language learners, professional development for educators, edutainment and workforce development for Out of School Time (OST) for youth and adults. Their GOAL Line partnership this year offers elementary students a hybrid, Spanish language learning experience. The goal is to help introduce scholars to the Spanish language in a fun, relevant way that will empower and equip them to see that they, too, can become bilingual and use their language skills to unlock opportunities otherwise unknown.
